What makes Pentathlon GB unique is that you can
participate in as many of the disciplines as you like.

Running In the pentathlon, running serves as a vital test of an athlete's endurance and speed, blending seamlessly with the other disciplines to create a challenging and dynamic competition.

Fencing (Split into two rounds): A ranking round where each athlete competes against each athlete in a bout lasting one minute or until the first hit, and a bonus round. The bonus round is single elimination, with each bout lasting 45 seconds.

Swimming A 200m freestyle swim, where athletes are seeded in heats according their personal best times. A time of 2 minutes 30 seconds equates to 1000 pentathlon points.

Obstacle Course Racing The newest 5th discipline in the Modern Pentathlon format whereby competitors are challenged by a number of obstacles racing on foot.

Horse Riding A show jumping course over a series of 12 show-jumping obstacles on an unfamiliar horse that the athlete is given just 20 minutes before they compete.

Laser Run In the exhilarating laser run event of the modern pentathlon, athletes run and shoot their way through a high-octane blend of endurance and precision, seamlessly merging rapid-fire shooting with swift, strategic running.
