2017-19 Coach Apprentice Programme recruitment
Applications for the 2017-2019 Pentathlon GB Coach Apprentice Programme are now open.
The programme is designed to ensure that the experience gained from an individual’s formative years as an elite athlete, current coaches from various disciplines or aspiring new coaches, is harnessed and shared whilst working through the Coach Apprentice Programme. The first Coach Apprentice Programme formally commenced in October 2013 with the selected coaches undergoing a 2-year course which finished in October 2015. The programme ran again in 2015 – 17 and is an essential element of our ambitious strategy for the development of future high performance coaches.
The content of the Programme will be shaped by the individual participant’s starting point and current coaching experience, which will be understood during a comprehensive Needs Analysis. We look to create an individual learning pathway for each participant that truly reflects personal and sport-specific requirements, starting with where the coach is now and looking at where the sport needs them to be to consistently deliver excellence.
Pentathlon GB invites applicants wishing to be considered for inclusion on the 2017 – 2019 Coach Apprentice Programme which will commence in November 2017 to apply by completing the online registration form at: https://form.jotformpro.com/50744915404959
Following receipt of your application you will be sent the course prospectus and more detailed information. The course is subsidised by the Pentathlon GB Performance Budget.
