Dominic Mahony

Dominic has been involved in Modern Pentathlon since starting as a schools biathlete in the late 1970s. As an athlete he represented Great Britain from 1984-1992 at junior and senior levels winning World and Olympic team bronze medals in 1987 and 1988 respectively. He also competed in the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. He was national Modern Pentathlon champion in 1992 and 1994.

On retirement he was asked to be the first athlete representative on the UIPM Executive Board and Technical Committee. He also represented Modern Pentathlon on the BOA athletes committee between 1989 and 1993.

Dominic has been on the Board of Pentathlon GB since 1998 and is the Vice Chairman for Performance. He has also been the GB team leader at the past 4 Olympic Games.

Dominic is the Client Services Director for Lane4, a performance development consultancy based at Bourne End in Buckinghamshire and is married to ex-pentathlete Kate Houston with whom he has 3 very active girls.
